The evaluations are back from the engineers. There were no big surprises. The building is sound, but the electrical, plumbing, etc. need to be replaced.  This fits perfectly with the Foundation's plan for a major remodel of the existing building in conjunction with a significant addition on the north east side.

The library recently created a Teen area.  Here are some pictures from that event.

The City Council of Moses Lake has agreed to fund part of the cost to have the building evaluated by an engineering firm to look for structural issues that may come up relating to the addition project. Funding will be available when the city starts it's new fiscal year in January 2010. The Foundation will cover additional costs related to the evaluation of the building.

Did you know - Due to lack of space in the current library certain collections have been eliminated or are significantly smaller than they could be.
